Application Form for Research – MFF Academy 2026

Maputo Fast Forward (MFF) is a multidisciplinary platform that aims to develop creativity and innovation in different fields, encourage collaboration between them, produce knowledge in different formats, and expand international networks and partnerships with actors from other African countries and other continents.

Through the MFF Academy, a center for interdisciplinary knowledge, MFF has fostered and encouraged the production of original knowledge based on endogenous African experiences, allowing Mozambicans and Africans to speak for themselves without any theoretical or methodological imposition from the outside. By providing spaces for reflection and the construction of thoughts and tools on scientific and popular knowledge, this call for applications seeks to create a foundation to support the production of knowledge and/or know-how.

The MFF Academy is one of the pillars that make up MFF and is divided into two interconnected branches: Research and Residencies. This notice announces a RESEARCH CALL for proposals with one scholarship, inviting researchers (scientists, artists, and/or technologists*), whether or not affiliated with public or private Higher Education and/or Research Institutions, individually or collectively. This call is primarily intended for researchers in Mozambique and invites them to submit research proposals under the terms established herein.

*In the area of computing: systems analysis, data science, software and application development, games, digital product management, and data processing.
