Maputo Fast Forward is pleased to announce the 20 participants selected to join the first edition of the 3D Animation & Digital Production Course, an initiative of the Maputo Fast Forward Academy, implemented by 16NetO in technical partnership with FX Animation Studio, with the support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Over the past few days, we have received a significant number of applications from different parts of the country, demonstrating the growing interest of young Mozambicans in the areas of animation, digital production and creative industries. To all candidates, we extend our sincere thanks for their participation and the enthusiasm shown.
Following the evaluation process, the following participants were selected:

For three months, participants will have access to specialized training, developed according to a practical methodology based on real projects, combining in-person sessions and online support. The program was designed to meet the needs of the contemporary creative market, providing technical skills in 3D animation, digital production, and professional portfolio development.
Among the main expected results are the collaborative production of a trailer or animated short film, the creation of individual portfolios, and the strengthening of participants’ employability, contributing to the growth of the creative and audiovisual sector in Mozambique.
The training also integrates a strong component of inclusion and accessibility, ensuring gender balance, support measures for the participation of people with disabilities, and learning conditions that promote equal opportunities.
This initiative represents another step by the Maputo Fast Forward Academy in creating a training and innovation ecosystem for creative industries, investing in local talent and preparing a new generation of professionals to meet the challenges of the digital economy.
